Let me bury up this rather old request and say, that I think it's unfortunate, that you are still using pdf.js 2.2.2 instead of the latest version. While I didn't identify any critical vulnerabilities in this version during a brief search, it might be beneficial to update to a more recent version anyway.
This PR https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/pull/13214 fixes the issue regarding the digital signature and is part of version 2.9.359 (latest pdf.js is 3.11.174 and I can confirm it's working correctly with this version).
And it has nothing to do with digitally signing our own documents, in our case we just have to display PDF documents digitally signed by a third party with the PDF viewer. And since we bought a license for this product, we thought why not use this, it sure is up-to-date and working ...
To everyone else looking for a work around solution:
Use Mozilla's pdf.js directly, they provide a viewer.html you can adapt to your own needs.
Hello,
I would suggest checking this BlogPost where you can find a possible implementation of the digital signature, text and image editing in PDFs using Kendo PDFViewer.

Love the Telerik and Kendo UI products and believe more people should try them? Invite a fellow developer to become a Progress customer and each of you can get a $50 Amazon gift voucher.
I am also looking forward for this feature. Meanwhile if there is any another solution to get Signature visible on the PDF viewer.
Adding Screenshots For reference.
Thanks.
Hi Andy,
Thank you for your vote. We are still gathering feedback on this feature. As for a workaround, currently we don't have one available.

I too am looking for a document signing functionality (in the AJAX product) - I am hoping that now the PDF viewer has been added in the latest release, that you will be able to add Signature functionality?
If anyone can suggest a way to add this functionality in the meantime I would be interested
thanks
Hi Mike,
We are sorry to see that you have moved to another PDF solution, but we clearly see your point.
We admit the importance and value if this feature request. Actually, we have evaluated the development resources needed for implementing it. As it turns out, they are substantial.
Since the interest in the feature has been rather low so far, at the moment we have no other option but to wait for more interest from the community.
We would encourage everyone interested in this item to vote or comment it, to help change its priority.
Kind Regards,
