Pleasse change the default date and time formatting in the scheduler

Dear Telerik team.

Currently you use hard coded formats to display dates and times.

majorTimeHeaderTemplate: '<span class=\'k-time-text\'>#=kendo.toString(date, \'h:mm\')#</span> ' + '<span class=\'k-time-period\'>#=kendo.toString(date, \'tt\')#</span>'

It would be nice if you would respect the culture settings and at least I would not have to change the templates every time I use a scheduler.

I didn't check all your widgets, but I guess the scheduler is not the only one ignoring the culture settings.

Please make use of the current culture settings/patterns

Thanks in advance

Bernd

Hello Bernd,

The templates give you the flexibility of showing the desired format, whereas changing the format automatically based on the culture might not be the behavior that everyone using the Scheduler would expect. We agree that checking the current culture and based on it applying the respective date format to the headers can be helpful, however such a change would be breaking for everyone that is using the different date header templates (dateHeaderTemplate, majorTimeHeaderTemplate, minorTimeHeaderTemplate).

I discussed your suggestion with the developers and because of the stated reasons, for the time being, we do not plan on introducing such change in the Scheduler.
