Grid date grouping

Hi,

 

It would be great if the KendoUI Grid could be enhanced to automagically recognize when it's grouping by a date field and then offer additional options to group the dates by Day, Week, Month, Quarter, or Year.

Hi, Barry,

We have a Knowledge Base article demonstrating how to group a Date column by a different field(without the time included).

I have modified the example to showcase how you can change the default grouping to be by either Day, Month or Year.
