Thank you for the feedback. indeed, it would be nice to have the list tools to be bound to a remote datasource. 

Can you please elaborate more on the case with events about Snippet selection? Some use cases or some description how would you like to handle such events and when they would be fired would be helpful? Currently, the execute event is triggered on inserting a snippet in the editor.
