Select All checkbox on ColumnMenu
Add 'Select All' checkbox on top of the column list in ColumnMenu so that it is easier to select all or none of the columns of the grid.

Hi Ted,

Thank you for sharing your interest in Excel like filtering functionality being implemented in Kendo Grid. 

This uplifts the feature popularity and It will be reviewed by the Product Management. In case the functionality is reasonable and enough users has asked for it will be acted upon and included in the RoadMap.

Adding to my previous comment...

 

If at least one column must remain visible, then the (Select All) behavior could leave the first (or last) item in the list checked.  I suggest making this a configuration setting (or parameter) that defaults to the first item in the list will remain checked

I suggest making it work like Excel when you are filtering a column in Excel.  The (Select All) checkbox shows:

  • as 'gray' if some of the items are unchecked
  • as empty if all of the items are unchecked
  • as checked if all of the items are checked

The behavior when clicked is:

  • if any are unchecked, then make all checked
  • if all are checked, then make all unchecked
