Allow binding the grid to a dynamic model (dictionary) and use it in the inline editing mode. This will allow us to decide which columns are shown and which editors to use from the server side. If we do this today, the data will not load.
Hi It's too bad that you wanted to close this initiative down. I'm sure this would be useful for others too, and your competitors offer this. This is not a limitation of ASP.NET MVC, which is must admit is a bold claim. For additional details, see the above mentioned ticket link. Thanks, Tor
In the support thread you referenced my colleague explained the ASP.NET MVC limitations why inplace and incell editing are not supported when binding the grid to dynamic objects. These cannot be bypassed, unfortunately. Marking this request as complete, since the grid supports binding to dynamic objects, as demonstrated in these resources: http://www.telerik.com/support/code-library/binding-to-datatable http://www.telerik.com/support/code-library/binding-to-a-collection-of-dynamic-objects http://www.telerik.com/forums/kendo-mvc-grid---data-binding-to-dynamic-object-model
