Frozen column support for hierarchical grids
In one of the more recent builds a Frozen Columns feature was introduced. However, the feature is currently not supported for hierarchical grids. We were wondering if it would be possible to implement an enhancement which would support both of these features simultaneously.

Thanks for this suggestion. However, we fear that introducing scrolling in hierarchical grid in combination with frozen columns will result in severe rendering complexity and performance penalty.

Due to this reason we need to dismiss this proposition. If you can point to a third-party javascript grid widget which supports this feature, we may investigate further and revise our decision.
