Slider to be able to use strings(text) as values and display them
I want my slider to say Higher, high, mid, low, and lower instaed of 1.2.3.4.5

That makes sense to some extent, Jeremy, although this might be more applicable as string value options for a rating widget. Nevertheless, I reset the status of this item to monitor what would be the interest in such a feature for the slider control.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, you'll probably agree having string values like this is not applicable when you have more than 5 ticks for the slider.

I respectfully disagree w/ Kenshin.  

What we are wanting is a way to list an array of tick labels for a given slider/rangeSlider. I don't think that is much different than specifying a min and max value.  Yes, its most likely to be used for smaller ranges, but since its an array it could apply to a very large range as well. Why does that completely rule it out as a feature?  Perhaps you want the very first label to be "Completely Satisfied" and the last label to be "Completely Dis-Satisfied".  This could be accomplished through this feature as well.

Currently I'm forced to do a "hacky" workaround by looking at the element's children and manually changing the values after it has rendered.

Is there a way to reply to a specific comment?
