Heatmap widget for Kendo UI
A heatmap (grid-style at least) is very much useful in any decent project management application. A widget that could remotely connect color-shades to jSON data would be really great.

Hello, Yeyuan,

Currently, there are two options to explore when a HeatMap is needed:

  1. The Kendo UI TreeMap
  2. A Custom implementation using a gradient for the markers as shared in this forum thread

The decision whether an item should be placed in the planning for new features/widgets is made based on the number of votes the item has received as well as how recent they are. For example, if the majority of the votes were placed seven years ago but few have asked for/voted for this functionality since then, that could affect the feedback item priority over another which has and active and recent demand.

Unfortunately at the moment, the Heatmap is not in our immediate roadmap. If this changes, we will update the status.

Heat is very useful for generating color maps in Lens industry....

Heatmaps are not available as a stand-alone component in our Kendo UI suite, John. If you want to know how to use GeoJSON to visualize heatmaps in our map widget, please contact our support team at telerik.com to be advised accordingly.
