@Kenshin: Highcharts and FusionCharts offer PNG export out-of-the-box!

Please note that the DataViz widgets support in-browser export to SVG and PNG/JPEG (for browsers that support Canvas). See:
http://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/dataviz/chart#methods-svg
http://docs.telerik.com/kendo-ui/api/dataviz/chart#methods-imageDataURL

Server-side processing is only required for generating PDFs from the SVG, etc.

If the above link is Telerik's officially endorsed solution, my team really needs to reconsider further investment in KendoUI.

That rube goldberg machine of a solution is not exactly what we had in mind. The additional dependencies are not desirable.

Ill specify that I dont mind a server side solution. But I do not want to have to ingest some random, bloated, 3rd party open source library that may or may not have a license acceptable to my product. You should provide your own solution with no need for 3rd party or open source libraries. Just like your competitor.

Kenshin, this is an unacceptable response. Way to completely disregard you customer requests. Why even have a feedback forum like this? I really wish I had went with Highcharts.

@Jeremy: What seems to be missing features and more versatile functionality you see in Highcharts? Note that we introduced financial charts and panning/zooming features for all DataViz charts (on desktop and mobile) in the latest Kendo UI Winter release.

Export to vector and raster formats is supported, but requires server-side processing. A demo based on ASP.NET is available here - https://github.com/telerik/kendo-examples-asp-net/tree/master/chart-inkscape-export

Note that ASP.NET or Inkscape are chosen just as an example. The same approach can be used for different server platforms and SVG processing software

Cmon Telerik, this is currently the most voted request for Kendo UI DataViz, are you going to include this soon or not? Inkscape is not an option for me. A little feedback would be appreciated! Thanks.

I'm disappointed in Kendo's charts. High Charts is much more robust and versatile. Unfortunately, we're chest deep into Kendo UI it's not likely we'll be using High Charts. Hopefully the Kendo team can add some more functionality to make it at least on par with High Charts.

This looks to be of use to the ASP.NET MVC Developers -
