Hello,
The item is being closed due to the lack of a high demand. In general such a functionality can be achieved. Here is a dojo which illustrates a possible realization.

Progress Telerik
Team, may I know if it is implemented already in Kendo UI or Kendo MVC since I could not find it. Also is there any alternative approach to do like EditForm in Kendo MVC Grid?
This feature is still under evaluation, since it received quite few votes so far, Erling. We'll continue to monitor the interest in it going forward, with no definite plans for implementation yet.
It's been 3 years since this suggestion was posted. Any plans for this feature in Kendo? It's by far the best UX for editing a grid. It gives the opportunity to hide some columns in the grid while still being able to edit them. It's also more intuitive compared to popup edit.
Thanks for reply....But can we have this feature in Kendo UI MVC. Its very helpful for many others if their is such feature.
This was a very useful Telerik MVC feature for me. I would love to see this with Kendo MVC.
