Make a knockout extension that allows us to use KendoUI's templating system.
It would be nice to use your high performing template library with KnockoutJS

Such effort may be executed in the context of the KnockoutJS project.

I wish I could down vote this.
If you want to use kendo use kendo else use knockout, seems daft to want to use both as they do the same thing.

That said I would love to see a way to hook a kendo datasource up as a model to a knockout template, great for signalr / odata scenarios I would think.
The justification here being that knockout doesn't do the job already.
