Add the ability to display the Show/Hide Column menu by right clicking the Column Header
Add the ability to display the Show/Hide Column menu by right clicking the Column Header instead of going through the "Column Menu".

It would also be nice if you could access the Filter directly instead of going through the "Column Menu"

The current Column Menu unnecessarily hides functionality in a menu that should be more easily accessible.

Hi,

The knowledge base article below illustrates how the functionality can be implemented:

I have a number of grids where the only option I want shown is the ability to show/hide columns. Having the UI on EVERY column header when the menu is always the same doesn't make sense. It would be better to have an API or a grid-scoped button or header right-click option to bring up the column chooser menu for the grid.

This would be nice. I'm currently developing in ExtJS, their grid has this functionality, but I would like to see this feature in KendoUI!

I would very much appreciate maybe an API function to open this specific pop-up. I want to initialize a grid with most of the columns hidden and give users the option to dynamicly show or hide the columns. The way i want, is to have a filter button in the toolbar, wich calls to show the popup.

We're not sure how much right-click access to the column chooser improves discoverability or usability of this feature. We'll wait for more feedback and comments. Thanks for sharing the idea!
