Add the ability to display a week number column to the Calendar & DatePicker controls and permit custom calculation of week number.
Many calendars have the ability to show a column of ISO week numbers alongside the dates (either to the right or the left).  Although it's not a show stopper I have such a requirement in my current project.  While other controls offer this there are none I know of which permit custom calculation of the week number - another requirement for this project.

Hello, week numbers as well as column day letters are important for me, as well as a customizable amount of rows/columns in view like the AJAX calendar.

Ah well, I suppose nearly five years after I raised the request is better than not at all!

Our company needs that feature as well. And please make sure the template is customizable for it. Week numbers are really important when dealing with fiscal and broadcast years.

Actually, custom calculation *IS* needed for occasions (such as my application) where the ISO number is NOT what I need.

However custom calculation of week numbers is not needed. There is already a standard on how week numbers are calculated. The calculation should use two settings "Week starts on" and "First week of year" (contains four days | first full week, etc). 
Week numbers are used extensively in Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Ukrane, Poland, Turkey, Slovenia, Romania, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Switzerland, more...
IMHO week numbers should be included from start in any serious calendar package.

Would this then allow for selecting by week also?  I would like to be able to set a depth of "Week" along with the existing "Month", "Year", etc.
