Why did you implement a quite new widget instead of extending grid widget?
Now, we will need v2.0 of TreeList with resizable and locked columns, paging, row templates, RTL support, etc... :)

These features will be pondered after v1 of the TreeList, i.e. post Q3 2014.

Just some feedback - I'd love to see resizable and frozen (locked) columns.

Hi, I would also like to get a little feedback why it is taking so long to get it done. BTW, I think that it would be much more useful and effective to add this behavior to Grid or - if that will be impossible - to make this new component fully compatible with current grid, so that we can switch our gird-based views to utilize this new FancyTreeListGrid without months of pain :)

Anyone from Kendo please? This is truly needed. I have countless reports with a tree structure, and have been waiting for this feature since the conception of Kendo!

Hi guys,

This has been under review for a year and has the most votes, however is not in the roadmap. Please can we get some clarity on this because IMHO there are several 'controls' in the roadmap that have far less appeal - Is it just because it's hard that you're ignoring it? Surely it can't be as hard as PivotGrid?

We are using TreelistView in a few important places in our Silverlight app and are moving to Kendo UI. We really need the same UX...

I am also interested to see if Kendo can be used for TreeeView + TreeGrid(hierarchical) like requirements as shown in
http://mleibman.github.io/SlickGrid/examples/example-grouping

Michael
Posted on: 10 Mar 2014 16:11
In our project, we need to reorder slightly hierarchical data.
The TreeList would be the solution here.

Will it also support drag and drop?
In my current project, there are some rows that are grouped into "sections" - which are on the root level of the tree. So dragging around the "sections" would be very cool.

Thanks for your help

Would come in pretty handy. Hierarchical grids and/or grouped grids are no option. We tried both - and both didn't work for us for several reasons.

Need this for the next version of a big project (for an important corporation) which was previously implemented with telerik ASP.NET tree list control and now it is migrated to MVC so we would like to use kendo. In this moment, the lack of this control is a show-stopper and we are searching for other options... We are still in the visual prototyping period, and we are looking forward to use the MVC telerik controls... but, if this is not available I'm afraid we will have use those other options out there.

We are porting our LOB Silverlight Application to one-page HTML 5 application, using Kendo UI Framework. TreeList control is essential part of our system. Please add this widget to Kendo UI !

Yeah. If you could just go ahead and make sure you build that Tree Grid, that will be great.

Hierarchical data grid is very important. Kendo looks good aside from this missing, but this is a hard requirement for our project. YUI and Ext have it.

This control is very essential and hope telerik will include Treelist grid(nested grid structure). For e.g. Category class can contain List<Category> inside it, so we need to have a grid that supports this nested objects.

Every application I write uses a treelist control. I've had to get Infragistics in because Telerik doesn't have one
MikeWiese
Posted on: 06 Mar 2013 01:41
Desperately need this. The telerik Silverlight suite had the RadTreeListView. After it came out, there was not a project that didn't use it. The customers are now asking us to use HTML5 instead of Silverlight, but they don't realise this gaping hole in the Kendo product line.

This lack of a Kendo TreeListView control is the mechanism that allows Infragistics and others into previously Telerik-only sites.

Desperately need a TreeList control - there's no substitute equivalent UI element. Lack of such a control makes for a very awkward implementation of certain types of applications. Thanks.

This control is absolutely essential. We use this for creating custom "filters" against our data sources because it's much more user-friendly than the current Ajax Filter control.
Thank you.
