I like the Wpf/Silverlight version. But it should be possible in HTML also: Telerik has in the ASP.NET for Ajax a RadDock. Can we have something like this sort of MDI interface in Kendo
These scenarios are supported with the sortable widget introduced in Q1 2014: http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/web/sortable/sortable-panels.html http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/web/sortable/linkedlists.html http://demos.telerik.com/kendo-ui/web/sortable/constraints.html
Don't get why this still isn't included in the Kendo UI for MVC set already. Please check these demos from the competition: https://demos.devexpress.com/MVCxDockAndPopupsDemos/Docking/Widgets This is exactly what it should be. Notice that you can have Zones with visible names for the end user. A feature that was removed from RadDock! I hope you guys decide to develop this really soon, since this is a very useful feature.
A control to allow widgets to dock or snap to zones. Useful for building entire portals for end users. This control can be seen with Telerik's own RadDock control: http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/dock/examples/default/defaultcs.aspx Other examples can be seen here: http://jqueryui.com/demos/draggable/#snap-to http://fluidproject.org/releases/1.4/demos/reorderer/layoutReorderer/demo.html http://www.netvibes.com
This is also known as an MDI user inteface (e.g. VS2010)
