Simple edit like <input type="text" but with full support of skins and Mask. With this the current date piker and roadmap numeric input you gave a full control scheme with all the skins applied.

This is basic functionality! For heavens sake, just do it!

yeah so many other frameworks have added this and it has so many uses, you all really need to add this into the framework as you are falling behind other libraries in controls - focussing a little to much on other thingsā¦..

<input data-mask="999-99-9999" /> or something like that...

Perhaps you guys expected the new HTML 5 input types to have been adopted by IE already. It would be great to be able to have more control over the input mask than what HTML will give. Please add this simple feature into the pipeline.

I would love a masked edit control for basic ssn/date/phone number, etc. similar in functionality to http://digitalbush.com/projects/masked-input-plugin/ . What would really be cool is to be able to use a data annotation attribute such as [Mask("999-99-9999")] to decorate fields for the Kendo MVC controls when binding to a field.

Amazed that "Scheduler Widget" (Q2 2013) is higher priority on the backlog than this!

I am excited to see this one get built. I've got to roll my own solution at this point, and it is not as slick as I'm sure you could make it. (Yes, that is shameless flattery)

Mask is a must have! I would prefer using a Kendo build-in implementation instead of using another jQuery plugin. I think this is an important add-on to consider for the next release. Thank you for keeping the community informed about any decision regarding the mask implementation.
