Hey everyone!
Updating this item as the Wizard component was released relatively recently and wanted to make sure everyone tracking this item was aware! The component was officially released as a part of R1 2020 SP1, and will of course also be a part of future releases.
Except that wizards are a very standard need in UI and that all you are basically saying is "kendo 'ui' is going to make you work your a** off to do simple and common things such as a wizard. Enjoy not saving time!! just go back to jquery plugins to get what you really need in the time space you need it."

A complete tutorial on how to build a wizard using discrete Kendo UI widgets can be found at http://developer.telerik.com/featured/step-wise-forms-with-asp-net-mvc-and-kendo-ui/

With some easy tricks you can polish Kendo Tabs to become a Multi-Step Form http://www.softawareblog.com/multi-step-forms-kendo-ui-tabs/

The idea would be to have a wizard control that handles the user through an entry process. It would be linked up to the field validation and have a progress bars. Might be neat to allow the mobile version to display a larger number of smaller steps.
MIght look like:

We considered there's no much value in adding such a component provided that you can simulate the same UI quite easily with a combination of existing Kendo UI widgets.
We may reconsider this solution going forward if there's change in priorities, or other factors which require reassessing this decision.

You are already supporting it thru http://docs.telerik.com/devtools/aspnet-ajax/controls/wizard/overview But not with ASP.NET MVC. Its giving impression that, ASP.NET MVC framework is not as important as ASP.NET Ajax. It would be challenging to convince management about technology choices, especially when you support controls thru one technology; but not other.

with due respect that is not an application scenario it is more of a widget and it is provided by many other framework as such take a look at
http://wijmo.com/widgets/wijmo-complete/wizard/

We discussed the topic internally and came to the conclusion this is rather an application scenario than a widget on its own. Wizard functionality can be implemented with a combination of our tabstrip, window, button, tooltip, etc. widgets.
Due to this reason, I am closing this request.

I agree with previous comments. http://mstratman.github.io/jQuery-Smart-Wizard/ shows the idea, but I would prefer to stay within the Kendo framework. I'd also like MVC wrappers for a Wizard control.

I agree with others. Modifying the existing tab control to behave like a wizard is cumbesome at best. Ideally a new Wizard widget is needed with configurable next, previous, finish buttons, a status indicator option, and ability to add any other Kendo UI widget in each step container would be very useful. Something similar to the JQuery Smart Wizard 3 http://mstratman.github.io/jQuery-Smart-Wizard/

I second Jason. A wizard control would be very valuable, I can't ask for more.

Tab Control add a forward Back Wizard (buttons at bottom) to this so you can choose to navigate forward only on first pass completion of the form and on edit you can click the tab or navigate back or navigate back on first pass if the form on that tab is completed. also option to submit on validation of each tab. Or submit at the end. This is a sophisticated control but very powerful. Revealing UI, Horizontal navigation similar vertical form navigation for the Panel bar would also be great. I have built a horizontal tabbed version of this in jQuery it takes a fair effort and would be valuable to almost all projects.
