PivotGrid - Selected option changes

In your Demo select PivotGrid - OLAP Support


1. sort rows by "Reseller Order Quantity"
2. reopen sorting panel
-> another option will be selected In the sorting options dialog, the selected column in the sorting options appears to be set to a wrong value upon reopening the dialog.

Hello Christian,

Thank you for your patience.

I reviewed this scenario, and this behavior is by design.

What actually happens is that each time the "More Sorting Options..." menu item is selected, a new SortingEditor dialog and a view model instance for it are created. Since a new view model instance is created each time the dialog is opened, it does not have a logic for persisting the previously selected options, thus it falls back to the default ones.

With this in mind, rather than a bug, this seems more like a missing feature of the RadPivotFieldList component. Due to this, I logged a new feature request in our feedback portal.

As a token of gratitude for bringing this to our attention, I updated your Telerik points.

With this being said, please let me know if any additional assistance regarding this case is required.
