The SelectionBox should not be visible when SelectionMode=Single because the presents of the SelectionBox indicates the user that multiple Items can be selected. So it should not render the box itself, but render the TextBlock only showing the SelectedItem. Of course not static but controllable via a Property.

I don`t think this changes the editing/autocomplete behavior since the DropDownButton still behaves the same and the SearchTextBox is also still present and behaves the same.

The documentation on the Property "" states:
//     Summary:
//     Gets or sets a value that indicates whether selection should be represented with
//     selection boxes.
public Visibility SelectionBoxesVisibility

The current behavior is, that die SelectionBoxes just get hidden/collapsed but with no replacement for presenting the Selection.

A custom implementation would be to use the "SelectionBoxTemplate", but this produces visual errors when using multiple switchable themes. TextBlock.Foreground and the BackgroundColor should be coordinated for each theme. For this reason the fix/solution should be provided by Telerik.

Hello Dawid,

Currently there is no update or scheduled release time frame. To be honest this scenario requires not only a fix but complete design for the editing when the selection boxes are invisible. So could you please share any thoughts on the matter - how do you expect the control to behave in this scenario without boxes, how is the editing /autocomplete performed. This will be highly appreciated.
