The origin of this issue was in the Visual Studio IDE. We logged an item for it: Properties Window in WPF App - OverflowException in designer when trying to edit a double property with value equal to double.MaxValue/double.MinValue and it is already fixed in Visual Studio 2022 Preview (Version 17.8.0 Preview 6.0).
