At this point Telerik UI for WPF doesn't have a component similar to the WinForms' TaskBarButton mostly because this functionality is already covered by the WPF native APIs. You can customize the button of the application in the taskbar and its hover preview element via the TaskbarItemInfo property of the WPF Window.

The context menu (the jump list) that appear on right button click over the taskbar button can be customized with the WPF JumpList component.

Can you check these and let me know if this is enough to get the desired result?

Also, can you please tell me if you believe that Telerik can extend or improve the default API in a way?

And last, but not least, can you tell me what exactly do you need to modify?
