Common: Opening the dropdown popups of controls in the Visual Studio designer cause it to crash
Clicking on a RadDropDownButton in the Visual Studio 17.4.0 designer makes it stop responding.

The issue was resolved with version 17.4.2 of Visual Studio: Visual Studio 2022 version 17.4.2 Release Notes.

We've contacted Microsoft in search of a solution for this issue and are now waiting for their expertise: 17.4 hangs when using custom DesignModeValueProvider - WPF DesignTools.
