Azure AD Authentication control
It would be great to have a native WPF Azure AD User Authentication Login Control. We use Single Tenant Azure AD for our user accounts and as close as a native to WPF user experience would be great. Right now I'm using the ICustomeWebUI interface to build a user login experience but I really don't want to own this code going forward.

Hello Tavi,

If you decide to go with this idea and you have questions on the Telerik components, feel free to share these via the support ticketing system in your telerik.com account.

Hello Tavi,

Thank you for sharing the additional information.

In the meantime, if you need to match the theme of the other Telerik controls and if that is very important for you, I can suggest you to try implementing custom login controls using the already presented WPF controls (native and Telerik), like RadButton, Image,  RadWatermarkTextBox, RadPasswordBox, RadListBox, etc. I think that you can copy a considerable amount of the .xaml and related C# code of the UWP controls in the CommunityToolkit and adapt the code for WPF.

I guess a better description of the UI Control here is to have an "Azure AD Login" UI Control. Even the "Graph-Control" from the Community Toolkit is very clumsy.

It is also missing these valuable capabilities:

  • Theme / Styling
  • Cache and present the user login account but not the Password
    • It is not clear how to manage this, like password-less logins
    • MFA logins

Hello Tavi,

We have discussed your idea and it sounds meaningful to have something like this in the suite. This is why I will change the status of the item from Declined to Unplanned. This means that we agree that it is a valid request. However, I can't give you a timeframe for implementing this.

In case you have any additional feedback, please don't hesitate to share it.

CommunityToolkit/Graph-Controls

CommunityToolkit/Graph-Controls: Set of Helpers and Controls for Windows development using the Microsoft Graph. (github.com)

It took me a while to get back to this and I don't expect for you to change the company disposition. It would be good to get a UI controls the fits with the native experience of the host UI control and experience frameworks.Microsoft offers a control but one is not yet able to style the control so that it is a match with Theme of the native desktop or application.

Hello Tavi,

Can you please provide some more information on this requirement? Do you need a control that mimics the UI provided by Azure? Which parts of the UI you need? Do you need any Azure specific interfaces and classes support? Can you send over few pictures showing the expected result?

Also, you can share any other information you find useful.
