Hello Eric,

In order to provide more information on the matter that occurs on your side, would it be possible to try and isolate this behavior in a sample project? I will review it on my end and get back to you with additional details depending on it.

Stenly

Hi Stenly,

I have inherited our WPF application from another dev and it was one of the first things I remarked when running the app in debug mode via the Visual Studio 2022.

I was wondering why no user complained about this because this is a very annoying behaviour.

A remark from another not Telerik related forum, did lead me to this feedback, the problem occurs only when running the WPF app via the VS debugger mode. Running the app normally as executable, does not have this behaviour.

I didn't investigate more time in it. This WPF app is using the normal Windows default components and some Telerik ones.
I'm even not sure if it is a Telerik related problem.

Hi Stenly,

Sorry, I missed the completed tag in the left corner :-(

I'm running a 2021 version, so it should be another problem.

Another comment on this matter found on the internet led to the source of the problem:

Running the application in debug via Visual Studio is causing the problem. Running the application normally does not hide a autohide taskbar!

Hello Eric,

The status of this bug report is set to Completed and a fix for this behavior was released in the 2020 R2 SP1 version of our Telerik UI for WPF. Would it be possible to give it a try using the latest version of our assemblies, and see if the issue still persists?

With that said, I hope the provided information would be of help to you.

Regards,
Stenly

Is there yet a fix for it?
