Thank you for the provided information and screenshot.

I was able to reproduce the described behavior and have therefore logged the following bug report - RibbonView: ApplicationButton's pressed state effect remains after closing Backstage in the Fluent theme.

In the meantime, you can refer to the attached project as a possible workaround.

The described by you behavior is caused by animation interruptions in the FluentControl.
The approach that is used in the sample project that I prepared basically includes telling the application button's FluentControl to go to its Normal state on ApplicationMenuOpenStateChanged event of the RadRibbonView.

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused and hope that the suggested workaround can be integrated in your application.
