Spreadsheet Grouping and Subgrouping

Hi Team,

 

We have a business case, where we build a spreadsheet with collapsable groups and subgroups. Our customers wanted to have an overview about the group totals on each group and expand and collapse the groups on demand (because it's also possible in Excel).

 

So, it would be awesome, if you could extend your spreadsheet component with that feature as well.

Hello Pascal,

Thank you for providing more information about the features you need. Now I understand that you need not only the Grouping UI, but also the Subtotal feature. Which groups ordered data and calculates the subtotal and adds a row showing the calculated value.

I have logged new feedback item for the Subtotal feature, because it is separate feature from the Grouping UI. Here is a link to the item https://feedback.telerik.com/wpf/1411968.

Is this indicating the same?

 For reference I  added a post with samples (https://edu.gcfglobal.org/en/excel2016/groups-and-subtotals/1/)

 

Would be nice, cause you know, Excel offers this feature ( ;-) ) and we lose that, when we load the file into the spreadsheet component.

Hello Pascal,

If I understand correctly you are looking for the UI of the grouping feature in order to be able to expand and collapse the grouped ranges. We have it logged here https://feedback.telerik.com/wpf/1353784, I suggest you vote for the feature and follow the item in order to receive updates about the progress on the matter.

I am declining this feature request so there are no duplicating ones.

Please let me know if that is not exactly what you need.
