I have checked with older versions of our suite and the issue has observed since R1 2013.

Very good news. Thank you for the update on the time frame for release, it is helpful to know these things.

Any idea which official release this bug first appeared in?

Hi Patrick,

The fix for the issue will be available in next LIB version (2018.1.402). It will also be included in our next official version – R2 2018, scheduled for the middle of May.

Repro:
Selection Mode = Extended
200K rows
Sort first then select all OR Select all then sort
Locks UI for >30 seconds
Occurs in as recent as 2018.1.326 build dlls

2018.1.319 did NOT fix this issue as stated.
