ChartView: An exception is thrown in the Fill/Background property binding in the series' DefaultVisualStyle when the RenderOptions is set to Bitmap/Direct2D
An InvalidCastException is thrown in the Fill/Background property binding in the series' DefaultVisualStyle when the RenderOptions is set to Bitmap or Direct2D.

This exception appears because the Direct2D and Bitmap render options don't support conditional styling of the data points and more specifically they don't support data bindings in the DefaultVisualStyle. That is why we are closing this item. Additionally, we've introduced a new feature request to allow support for conditional styling of the data point visuals in the scenario with Bitmap and Direct2D render options, which will cover this issue.
