Hello Hans,

There is no update of this item's status. I would recommend you to follow the item so you can get notified as soon as its status changes. 

In the meantime, to work this around you can manually call the Clear method of the SelectedPropertyDefinitions collection when changing the Item property instance. I hope this helps.
