Hi Mi Ha,

RadPdfViewer currently uses Alternate colorspace to visualize images that are with ICCBased colorspace. For full ICCBased colorspace support we already have approved another feedback item: http://feedback.telerik.com/Project/143/Feedback/Details/140118-implement-iccbased-colorprofile-support-in-pdfviewer

Tanya,

Could you check out these files? http://www.color.org/version4pdf.pdf

They are ICCbased and neither version 2 nor version 4 are displayed correctly in PDFViewer 2016.1.112.40.

Regards
Mi Ha

Hi Mi Ha,

The latest released updates related to this feature request are the already discussed ones, included in Q3 2015. RadPdfViewer supports these colorspaces and it is capable importing elements that use them.

Please, excuse me if I wasn't clear enough in my previous response. What I meant is that RadPdfProcessing imports the colorspaces and exports them, but it doesn't modify or read them. In other words, you cannot obtain the color of an element or the BitmapSource of an image using the color space through the API of PdfProcessing.

Regards,
Tanya

Any updates on this subject for Q1 2016?

Am I correct, when I interpret your answer "...but it is not possible to work with them." that you read IccBased colorspaces but i. e. PDFViewer just ignores the colorspace?

Hi Mi Ha,

The IccBased, Indexed and Cmyk color spaces are currently supported only for import and export, which means they will be preserved when you import a document containing some of these color spaces but it is not possible to work with them. The item is with the In Development status because there are many different types of color spaces and we well keep it this way until all the types are implemented.

The other item you encountered refers to working with the CMYK color space, which doesn't reflect the import and export.

Tanya

Could you clarify this feature?

You write, it is available in Q3 2015 but the status of the item is "In Development". There is also a new related request http://feedback.telerik.com/Project/143/Feedback/Details/173234-implement-content-stream-operators-that-allow-setting-color-in-cmyk-colorspace, so I doubt it is already finished.

Thanks
