New Theme: Material Design
Would it be possible to add a new theme that accurately tracks the Google Material Design guidelines?  (http://www.google.com/design/spec/material-design/introduction.html).

Available in the 2017 R2 Release.

The reason that we are not planning a Silverlight support for the Material theme is because there is a multitude of features and behaviors that are achievable only by taking advantage of Triggers, MultiTriggers, MultiBindings and setting Bindings in Trigger setters. The WPF-only themes we have focused in the recent years have significantly smaller templates with no or almost no VisualStates. The usage of Triggers and especially setting a Binding in a trigger had allowed us to reduce significantly the size and count of full customizations of the templates for specific uses of basic controls - i.e. there are several variations of interaction states for buttons that differ significantly between each other and with the structure that we have taken, there is no need to create a custom control template to achieve that, but only style setters, attached properties and style triggers. In Silverlight some of the features that are used are not supported, which combined with the large sizes of basic templates that need to be redone for each use case, makes the development of a Silverlight Material theme borderline non-achievable.

@Sia, that's unfortunate because initial name of the request was to add this to both WPF and Silverlight and my vote was for Silverlight part particularly.

Is is really hard to port WPF theme to Silverlight pack? I know Silverlight is almost out of the landscape now, but there is still a bunch of apps in Silverlight which need modern look and feel.

We are not sure what your exact requirements are, please add them in the newly added public item about floating labels: https://feedback.telerik.com/Project/143/Feedback/Details/242626-inputs-add-built-in-functionality-for-floating-labels and vote for it.

I just noticed that you have a material design theme for ASP.net already??? I am new to Telerik and wanted to know how we would find out if this request is progressing or not?
