How to add caption on grid table

Hi Team,

We need to add caption on grid table as explained here: https://accessibility.psu.edu/tableshtml/#caption

JAWS should read this caption on pressing T while selecting the table.

Can you guide us how can we add this caption!

Hi Svetlin,

Thanks for your response.

This solution to manipulate the DOM using JavaScript is just a workaround to add/append caption. We already used same trick to append the caption.

Can you ask your team to add this as a feature so that the caption can be configurable on grid itself.

Thank you for the provided link.

Whenever it is required to add any element to the rendered DOM then some custom JavaScript should be used. Please check some of the online available resources on the topic like the following tutorials:

https://areknawo.com/how-to-add-an-element-to-dom/

The same approach can be followed to create a caption element and append it to the DOM on the desired location. I hope the provided resources help. Please let me know in case any further information is required for this case. Thank you.
