Kendo Vue Native Grid Footer

Hi Kendo.

 

We're trying to replace Vue Grid Wrapper with the new Native Grid and most things works awesome. We only have one blocking feature that isn't inplemented yet.

 

So my question is when is the footer-logics comming for the native grid. We want to show aggregates in the fixed footer and it would be awesome it is like the 'headerCellRender' function defined on the grid. We know there is a gouping aggregate, but this isn't the thing we want.

 

Is there any idea when or even if it is comming to the native grid?

Hello Aurélien,

As per possible suggestions to achieve the desired functionality, I would suggest you to render the footer as an external custom component and adjust it to fit properly just below the Kendo Vue Grid. So far I cannot think of an alternative approach that would be more flexible than the suggested.

Hi Kendo,

 

I also use the kendo vue native grid and the requirement i have to cover require the column footer feature. It comes from a migration from the Kendo jQuery grid.

I understand that you have not planned this feature implementation yet but do you have some recomendations or tips to implement it on my own ?

The discussed feature is yet not scheduled for implementation. I would suggest you to keep tracking the current feature request as it will be updated accordingly as soon as we start working on that.

Hello,

Thank you for your feature request.

The footer is in our to do list indeed yet at the moment there is no exact ETA for it.

As for the speeding up the things  - we are following these feature requests during prioritizing our 'to do list' so it is always better to have such requests files instead know how many people are waiting for hem.

Yeah we could really use this functionality.

I don't know if this speeds up things, but we have a paid support plan.
