Vue needs the TextBoxContainerComponent for Material
We really want to use Material design, but the biggest reason would be for the floating labels, which can provide much cleaner-looking and compact forms.  Unless I am mistaken, it seems that Kendo Q1 2019 for Vue still does not have support for that, like your Angular suite does.  Please add the TextBoxContainerComponent to Kendo for Vue.  Thanks!

Hi Michael,

Thank you for the honest feedback.

I understand your choice. We do keep our wrapper components because lots of people do use them for different scenarios where it is not that important to have zero jQuery apps. Yet we are actively working on adding more and more Native Vue components so I would recommend you to keep an eye on our upcoming releases because more and more new components  are expected to come out.

It's nice that you guys have it now, but back nearly two years ago, we switched to Vuetify for our Vue application, as we couldn't keep waiting (we use Telerik for some other things though).  The other reason was we wanted native Vue components, and zero jQuery, and it appears you still have quite a bit of that for your Vue suite.  Thanks for the update though.

Hello,

The floating container changes are completed. The Vue suite now contains Input and NumericTextBox with floating label functionality:

Hello Michael,

The Sass Material Theme is our newest Sass-based theme. As such, we still have some minor improvements to add to the theme - the floating labels included. In general, we are targeting the next official release for including the floating container changes. However, this remains subject to change as this depends on multiple other processes. I would recommend tracking the Release History page for the next releases for additional information.

In addition to the above, I am happy to let you know that we have added the RippleContainer with the 2019 R1 release. Its idea is to provide the Material ink ripple effect for the Kendo UI components when using the Sass Material theme. You can check out the following related resources:

Important to note is that the Sass Material theme must be selected from the 'Theme Chooser' at the top right corner of the page in order to preview the demo.

In case you have any additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.
