The month of january doesn't apear in the date picker

Hello,

There is a very serious bug in the Kendo React date picker component: the month of January is simply not displayed

The issue can be witnessed on your demo page:

 

https://www.telerik.com/kendo-react-ui/components/dateinputs/datepicker/

Just open the picker and you'll see January is not there

Thanks a lot for sharing your feedback to us. I have converted this thread to a public Feedback item, so all clients interested in such a change would be able to vote for it.

Each release, we evaluate the most voted items and plan them for implementation accordingly.

Hello Vessy,

Thank you for your answer. I must say that I'm flabergasted by that design decision then: from a UX perspective it makes absolutely no sense: it makes the UI less self-explanatory, makes implicit an imortant element of the data selection and is extremely confusion to ALL users I have seen exposed to that.

We will update the popin to work in a more rational way but I would very seriously suggest you review that design choice.

Hello, Stéphane,

The faced behavior is by design as the Year is actually the placeholder for January (clicking the year will render the January month view).
