Event lasting several days is divided (Scheduler - Timeline View)

Hello Support-Team,

I have created a project with Kendo UI React and use the component "Scheduler". I would like to display multi-day events. Unfortunately, the event is then split per day on a separate bar:

I have not found a way so that only one bar is displayed per multi-day event. Is this a bug, or can this be configured somehow?

We are facing same issue with Timeline View for multiple days. Are there any plans to solve this, because it is quite annoying to see same event repeating on the scheduler & it really does not look good.
We have same implementation, in Asp.net Core with Scheduler component & it works fine there.

Hello, Saad.

The current thread is about a feature request inside the Scheduler. To keep it consistent and focused(on the feature request), may I ask you to submit a support ticket about your scenario? Usually, I would transfer your question to a new ticket and continue the communication about it in this new ticket, but I can see that there is not active license(neither trial nor commercial) associated with your account. The customer support services are available only to clients with active licenses.

Hello Filips,

Thanks for ur reply, actually i am looking for properties reservations as a timeline view.

So a property have different causes of indisponibility (maintenance, reserved...) , those are actually in my case event's and each type of reservation should have a unified color.

PS: Adding types of indisponibility as ressource isn't a solution in my case.

Hi, Saad,

Currently defining a color by its span instead of the resource is not supported.

Can you provide more information on your scenario and use case so that I can investigate if another solution exists?

I have another question, actually we can define a color by ressource but is there any way to define color by event (span) ?

It seems that at this time the feature request is not very popular. We are still monitoring the interest and once we have gathered a significant amount of votes we can proceed to plan its implementation according to our internal planning.

Hello, Marvin,

I have checked with the developers' team and I can confirm that this is currently a limitation of the Timeline View. Events are span multiple days will be visually shown as separate events. We understand that this is not ideal and can log an improvement task for it.

If you wish I can transfer this ticket to an official request for this, as this will help with prioritization based on the community interest on it.
