DateTimePicker

Hello again Kendo React Team,

Our team recently started using the Kendo React DateTimePicker and noticed that if the user clicks "Today" followed by "Now" the drop down does not automatically go away. The DatePicker and TimePicker both have this desired action of closing the drop down when selecting. Would it be possible to add this functionality to the DateTimePicker?

Thanks,
Mark

Good morning Stefan,

That sounds perfect. I am fine with it staying open if they just click "Now" because they might not be done yet but if they selected both a date and a time I believe it should close.

Thanks for your time,

Mark

Hello, Mark,

Thank you for the feedback.

The main idea for not closing in on the DateTimePicker is that it has two selections date and time, and we are not sure that by clicking now you are done with the selection.

Still, after discussing this in the team we agreed that if the user is already selected a date and then clicks Now it is logical to fire the onChange event and close the DateTimePicker.

Please confirm that this is the desired functionality, so we can proceed with the implementation.

Regards,
Stefan
