Hi David,

Thank you for the provided feedback.

I consulted with the development team regarding this feature, as well as the related request for templating the operators, since both appear to be very similar in terms of implementation.

While I am unable to provide a firm delivery estimate, I can confirm that both features are currently prioritized. As a rough expectation, implementation may take around a month, although it could be sooner depending on various factors.

Please continue to monitor the feature request for any further updates.

We love the filter component because it's one of the few we've seen that actually implement nested filters and logical operators properly.  Unfortunately, due to the lack of templating for the field selection, this component simply does not scale.  For very large datasets, it borders on unusable.  It would be a shame to have to abandon this component and build our own from scratch, which is the only real alternative at this point.  Please prioritize this feature so we can continue using this component!

Hi all,

Thank you for providing feedback on this request. 

There is no doubt that the feature will enhance the Filter component and its customization ability. The request is still not part of our immediate development plans (for the next official release). However, it's being added to our Backlog. I cannot confirm the exact date when the feature will be implemented. What I would suggest is to subscribe to this request and be notified on time when the status changes.

We are in desperate need of a customization to this drop down. I would be much appreciated if Kendo would prioritize this additional feature.

This is something I am interested in as well. The filter component is very useful but making selections from larger sets of data is difficult. The ability to use a grouped combobox or cascased combobox would be useful.

Hi,

Are there any news\progress with this feature.

Our field list is extremely long and customer keep asking for this feature: Enabling search (search input and applying 'contains' alike ) that narrows down the list of fields while typing.

Please update when can we expect this feature and convey the message to the customers.
