How to track whether messages are read/unread in the chat UI?

Hi,

we want to build your fine conversational UI into our product? The idea in the first iteration is to use it to render message threads between different users. This means that we need to be able to track which messages the user has seen/read to provide a counter/badge with the number of unread messages. Do you have any examples showing something like that? Could you possibly give us a hint about how to achieve something like that with your API?

Thanks,

Anders

Hi Anders,

Unfortunately, currently there is no such built in feature that would allow to achieve the desired functionality using the provided API. This is why, we also do not have an example demonstrating such behavior. Indeed, such feature would be a valuable addition to the Kendo UI for Angular Conversational UI component and thus I converted this ticket to be a public feature request item, so that it can be voted for:

This will help us to track the demand for the specific feature request and eventually provide it in a future release.

Svetlin
