Hyperlinks do not work in RadPdfViewer

Dear Support Team,

we are currently trying out RadPdfViewer and have found that hyperlinks in the PDFs do not work.

During my research, I found that this has now been implemented for the Kendo UI PDF viewer for Angular (https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/changelogs/kendo-angular-ui#v18.5.0).
Will this also be implemented for the ASP.NET viewer, and if so, when?

Thank you for reaching out and for the detailed information!

I’m converting this ticket into a public feature request so others can vote and track progress on this functionality.

Currently, the RadPdfViewer for ASP.NET AJAX does not support clickable hyperlinks in PDF files. This is a known limitation tied to its use of PDF.js versions 2 and 3. While the Kendo UI PdfViewer has added support for PDF.js 4.x, this update has not yet been applied to the AJAX version.


If link-clicking functionality is important for your use case, please feel free to vote and comment on the public request to help prioritize it: https://feedback.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/1687189-hyperlinks-do-not-work-in-radpdfviewer.

As a workaround, you may want to consider using the Kendo UI PdfViewer, which supports clickable links as of the version mentioned above.
