Hi,

In mobile and tablet device is very difficult increase and decrease the size of columns of RadGrid, exist a specified method or a workaround for resize a grid ?

Is possible increase border(left/right) of column for change it more easiest ?

The respons of my ticket in forum is that:

"Hi Giacomo,

I am afraid we currently do not have alternative ways for resizing the Grid column. However, I advise that you share your idea officially by creating a Feature Request in the Progress® Telerik® UI for ASP.NET AJAX Feedback Portal. There the request will have the potential to become popular. Items with higher priority will be processed earlier."

Best regards

The font size and family set through the RadHtmlChartSkins.js file are not applied to RadHtmlChart. They are overwritten by the default font styles set in the code behind of the chart wrapper.

If paging is disabled and the PageSize is set to less than the number of records bound to RadGrid, client item templates are not all rendered correctly.

Example:

If PageSize is 10, and records bound to Grid are 15, then the first 10 records will have templates rendered correctly, while the rest of 5 records will not.

To Reproduce:

1. Open IE11

2. Navigate to the ASP.NET Spreadsheet Demo

3. Highlight a few cells

4. Hover the cursor over the lower-right dot

Expected Behavior:

The cursor changes to a thin cross-hair icon but it doesn't change in IE 11.

A temporary workaround is enabling the controls programmatically:

private void RadWizard1_NextButtonClick(object sender, WizardEventArgs e)
{
    if (Page.IsValid)
    {
        int activeStepIndex = RadWizard1.ActiveStep.Index;
        var wizstep = RadWizard1.WizardSteps[activeStepIndex];
        wizstep.Enabled = true;

        for (var index = 0; index < wizstep.Controls.Count; index++)
        {
            var ctrl = wizstep.Controls.Item[index] as WebControl;
            if (ctrl != null)
                ctrl.Enabled = true;
        }
    }
}

Private Sub RadWizard1_NextButtonClick(sender As Object, e As WizardEventArgs) Handles RadWizard1.NextButtonClick
    If Page.IsValid Then
        Dim activeStepIndex As Integer = TryCast(sender, RadWizard).ActiveStep.Index
        Dim wizstep = RadWizard1.WizardSteps.Item(activeStepIndex)
        wizstep.Enabled = True

        For index = 0 To wizstep.Controls.Count - 1
            Dim ctrl = TryCast(wizstep.Controls.Item(index), WebControl)
            If ctrl IsNot Nothing Then
                ctrl.Enabled = True
            End If
        Next
    End If
End Sub

I have a RadCheckboxList In an ASP Panel. When Enabling/Disabling the panel the CheckBoxList does not Enable/Disable.  I tested this with a simple mock up with additional controls that work as expected:

<asp:Panel ID="TestPanel" runat="server" Enabled="true">

<telerik:RadCheckBoxList ID="WeeklyDays" runat="server" Columns="4" AutoPostBack="false">

<Items>

<telerik:ButtonListItem Text="Monday" Value="2" />

<telerik:ButtonListItem Text="Tuesday" Value="4" />

<telerik:ButtonListItem Text="Wednesday" Value="8" />

<telerik:ButtonListItem Text="Thursday" Value="16" />

<telerik:ButtonListItem Text="Friday" Value="32" />

<telerik:ButtonListItem Text="Saturday" Value="64" />

<telerik:ButtonListItem Text="Sunday" Value="1" Selected="true" />

</Items>

</telerik:RadCheckBoxList>

<telerik:RadTextBox ID="TestText" runat="server"></telerik:RadTextBox>

<telerik:RadDatePicker ID="TestDate" runat="server"></telerik:RadDatePicker>

</asp:Panel>

<br />

<telerik:RadCheckBox ID="ToggleEnabled" runat="server" Text="Toggle Panel" AutoPostBack="true" Checked="true" OnCheckedChanged="ToggleEnabled_CheckedChanged"></telerik:RadCheckBox>

 protected voidToggleEnabled_CheckedChanged(objectsender, EventArgs e)

{

TestPanel.Enabled = Convert.ToBoolean(ToggleEnabled.Checked);

}

It would be great to be able to use the MultiSelect control that is available in all the other UI controls suites. This controls allows a selection behavior and rendering customization that none of the current controls in UI for ASP.NET AJAX offers.

In some cases, inside the Grid table, the tfoot element is rendered before the tbody element. This causes some readers to read the footer before the body. A possible workaround is moving the tfoot after the tbody in the OnGridCreated event: function OnGridCreated(sender, args) { var $ = $telerik.$; $('tfoot').each(function (index, item) { debugger var $item = $(item); var $next = $item.next(); if ($next[0]) { if ($next[0].tagName.toLowerCase() == "tbody") { debugger $item.insertAfter($next); } } }); }

The column headings read by JAWS are not great. I see that the rendered table headings have an aria-label attributes, but the text of these labels appears to match the DataField attribute of the grid column. Unfortunately, the DataField is often not the same as the human readable text displayed on the column header. This provides an inconsistent and sometimes confusing experience for screen reader users.

For example, if my data field is named something like full_name_with_title, but my column heading is actually "Full Name," the user will hear fullunderlinenameunderlinewithunderlinetitle, but we'd like them to hear "Full Name". All those underlines are confusing.

It would be much better if Telerik used the HeaderText attribute of the column instead of the DataField attribute. This would ensure that the presentational text and not the internal column names were read to the user.

A temporary workaround can be using the following OnGridCreated handler:

function OnGridCreated(sender, args) {
    if (sender.get_enableAriaSupport()) {
        sender.get_masterTableView().get_columns().forEach(function (col) {
            var header = col.get_element();
            var headerText = (header.textContent || header.innerText).replace(/^\s+|\s+$/g, '');
            header.setAttribute("aria-label", headerText);
        })
    }
}

I need a timeline AJAX component to "Visualize sequences of events in a user friendly manner" like this one in WPF : http://www.telerik.com/products/wpf/timeline.aspx

Do you plan to do that ?
Thanks

If the Chrome browser zoom is different from 100%, it is not possible to reorder the RadGrid columns.

The problem can be reproduced at https://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/grid/examples/columns-rows/columns/column-row-resize-reorder/defaultcs.aspx .

Possible Workaround:

Telerik.Web.UI.Grid.PositionDragElement = function(element, mouseEvent)
{
    var clientX = $telerik.isTouchDevice ? $telerik.getTouchEventLocation(mouseEvent).x : mouseEvent.clientX;
    var clientY = $telerik.isTouchDevice ? $telerik.getTouchEventLocation(mouseEvent).y : mouseEvent.clientY;

    element.style.top = clientY + $telerik.getDocumentElementScrollTop() + 10 + "px";

    element.style.left = clientX + $telerik.getDocumentElementScrollLeft() + 10 + "px";

	if ($telerik.isOpera || $telerik.isTouchDevice)
	{
	    element.style.top = parseInt(element.style.top, 10) - document.body.scrollTop + "px";
	}

};

It would be nice to have a CardView type panel control. This could simply be a dezoned raddock control that is optionally missing the header. I am using some custom CSS for this now so that when the mouse moves over the div the shadow deepens to indicate selection.

It would be nice to adjust the elevation as well.

You can kind of get this now but taking a radwindow or a raddock but a dedicated control would be nice.
