Delete/Backspace button remains enabled in spell check mode
The Delete and Backspace buttons remain enabled in spell check mode, allowing the client to delete selections inside the Editor's content area.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/editor/examples/spellchecker/defaultcs.aspx
2. Click the Spell check icon
3. Select several words from the content and press Backspace/Delete

Result: The selected content is deleted
Expected: The Delete/Backspace button press is ignored

Hi,

Thank you for reporting this issue, and we apologize that it was closed earlier only because of the time that had passed.

Following a recent review, we confirmed the problem: in spell check mode, the Delete and Backspace keys were not blocked and could delete the selected content. We have fixed it, and the fix will be included in the 2026 Q3 SP1 release. Thank you for your patience.

This behavior was originally reported over 9 years ago and has not received significant demand or follow-up from the community since then. Considering this, we are unable to prioritize it over more impactful and widely requested improvements.
