Autocomplete functionality of the RadComboBox does not work, when MarkFirstMatch and Filter functionalities are simultaneously used
Having the properites MarkFirstMatch="true" and Filter="StartsWith" causes false behaviour. When some text is entered in the input of the ComboBox, the first match is marked. If Tab key is pressed on the keyboard the entered text remains in the input with no item selected.

Hi everyone,
Thank you for reporting this issue. Following a recent review, we reopened this bug report, and we apologize that it was closed solely because of the time that had passed.
We reproduced the issue and have implemented a fix. With MarkFirstMatch enabled and Filter set to StartsWith, the ComboBox now completes the input to the first matching item and selects the inserted text while keeping the suggestions open. The fix will appear in 2026 Q3 SP1.

This behavior was originally reported over 10 years ago and has not seen significant demand or follow-up from the community since then. Given this and the need to focus on higher-impact and more frequently requested improvements, we are closing this case.
