I think RadEditor is starting to look like a good processor integration, however to make it really good it should support Shapes, Charts. The issue is that it does not support then now, but more that it strips them out of an existing document with then in it when loaded. I personally think this will make our customers mad if we can't have "true" docx loading etc. Love to see this Editor become the De-facto for developers and this is what it will take.
I cannot help but agree with you that the Shapes and Chart feature would be a quite useful addition to RadEditor and RadSpreadsheet. The item was declined not because RadEditor relies heavily on the browser and this cannot be implemented, but mainly due to lack of demand (not enough votes here, requests in the ticketing system and the forums, in the surveys and so on) for such a feature. If more users requests it, I'll change the status of this item to Approved. For the time being it is more likely to add the Insert Chart functionality into the Spreadsheet, rather than into RadEditor.
unless your team starts focusing on making these platforms work more like what business users need, you are going to lose the race with your competitor (devE....) they are already miles ahead on their editors and spreadsheets even though they were last to come to the race. i would encourage your team to listen to us when we we voice this verse declining us. if your competitor could figure it out...so can you.
The Microsoft Word Charts and Shapes are actually images. Pasting images from a Word document is handled by the browser and the only browser that I am aware of to be capable to properly paste an image and translate it to HTML is IE11.
