Hello,

i totally agree with Julien. It is really disappointing that such an important feature is not the default control's behavior. 

It would be very nice though to introduce this property based on the UICulture and even more ,  if it can be configured at an application level .

This will improve not only RadCalendar but also RadDatePickers ... and enable these components to be truly usable in multilingual applications where UiCulture is set to user's culture and Culture set to a fixed culture for server-side formatting consistency ...

Kendo datePickers ... already work this way, user sees day names ... in his language and the components provides localization for these.
