Improve the RadTextBox to be able to restrict how many rows can be typed
A property to handle that would be very convenient. This way developers could be able to restrict the number of rows that the user can type. Something like MaxRowNumber.

Additionally, a property MaxColumnNumber would be also useful to restrict the length of each row.

Fair point, 11 years is a long wait! Thanks for sticking with us.

While this request only received four votes, we felt it was a useful addition and decided to deliver it. We are continuing to develop and improve Telerik UI for ASP.NET AJAX and any feedback is very welcome!

Hi,

Thank you for the feedback. We have added the MaxRowNumber property to RadTextBox.

It allows developers to limit the number of rows users can enter and paste in a multiline text box. The property can be set declaratively:

<telerik:RadTextBox
    ID="RadTextBox1"
    runat="server"
    TextMode="MultiLine"
    MaxRowNumber="5" />

It can also be configured in code:

RadTextBox1.MaxRowNumber = 5;

The default value is 0, which means no row limit. The property will be available in the 2026 Q3 SP1 release.

Really it will be great feature, if you can implement this functionality, controlling the lines nos and each line by character.
