Applying the FocusableDirective on an anchor tag should allow the user to reach the anchor element using only the arrow keys without pressing Enter.

Hi Uzma,

Thank you very much for the details provided.

I have already responded to the same question that you sent us as a private support ticket, but I am also sharing the response here so that it is visible to the entire community.

The current behavior of the keyboard navigation of an anchor tag(<a>) when it has the built-in FocusableDirective applied, which the Kendo UI for Angular Grid component provides, has been previously reported to our team, and I can confirm that it is a bug on our side.

In our public GitHub repository, there is an open issue for similar unexpected behavior, and what I would suggest is to subscribe to it to track how the resolution process goes:

In these lines of words, I would like to apologize for any inconvenience that this unexpected behavior of the FocusableDirective might have caused.

I hope the provided information helps.

Regards,
Georgi
