Export Grid into CSV

The Angular Grid export only includes PDF and Excel formats. Requesting an enhancement to be able to export to CSV for purposes of opening the data in a text editor other than Excel or to allow for easier upload into other applications.

There are articles that show how to do this but it would be better out of the box from Telerik.

Hi Sagar,

In order to avoid any potential confusion, it is worth mentioning that the Grid supports Excel support functionality:

https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/grid/export/excel-export/.

However, exporting to a CSV file is currently possible only by using a third-party library:

https://www.telerik.com/kendo-angular-ui/components/knowledge-base/export-grid-to-csv/

We keep monitoring the demand for providing build-in export to CSV file functionality.

yes there shoulb be export to excel option available for grids.

Yes we need to export the grid in csv as well

Hey I think this would be a very useful feature, we are currently looking to export in csv. All the examples seem to just hook into the event and then massage the data into csv manually.
