Customize hierarchy cell with a templateRef

Please add a template about custom hierarchy cell template.

We have to add few icons in it and also before it and we would like to use angular native way.

Hi Diego,

Indeed, we understand that providing a template to be used within the hierarchy cell will allow adding any custom HTML for its content. Thank you for the provided additional feedback. We will keep monitoring the demand for this feature request and eventually provide it in a future release of Kendo UI for Angular.

Main request is related to templateRef use. We just would like to add external icons or content, not just replace icon with a new one. Another approach is to enable user to add a column before the hierarchy column!

Hi Diego,

Thank you for the logged feature request.

Indeed such functionality would be a valuable addition to the Kendo UI for Angular suite. We will track the demand for it and eventually provide it in a future release.

Meanwhile, the default icons within the hierarchy cell can be overwritten by using some custom CSS as demonstrated in the following article:
